General Motors: India is inTop10 in 2011
With the success of its small car in India, namely Chevvy Beat, plus a sharp growth in the automobile sector, General Motors makes more focus to India after China. This United States manufacturer of large cars is targeting that India will be 10 major global markets next year.
“In my opinion, in 2011 India will be one of the10 major markets for General Motors in globalization. In fact I will be surprised if it did not happen … “explained President and Managing Director of General Motors China Group, Kevin Wale.
In 2009, the total selling of General Motors in India reached 69 579 units. With the launch of Beat, is expected to rise to 100,000 units this year. According to General Motors, Beat, which was launched earlier this year, has been the highest selling car in the country.
General Motors hopes the Indian car market to be double-digit in growth this year and immediately went into 10 major markets in Australia by General Motors replaces the 120,000 unit sales target.
