Is the Future Generation of Nissan GT-R, 100 Percent of Electricity?

GT-R is a symbol of greatness in the arena of the Nissan sports car. This car with its sexy appearance has many fans! However, new problems which are faced are also experienced by other manufacturers, including specialist SupersPort car-exhaust gas regulations which are tighter. Consequently, the efforts to make the car run faster meet some problems.

Therefore, it was speculated that the Nissan GT-R will be the next generation of hybrid cars or 100 percent electric. In fact, when Chief Operating Officer (COO) Nissan Toshiyuki Shiga Autocar UK were interviewed, he did not refuse if the next-generation GT-R is likely to become a pure electric car.

“The markets are constantly changing and have become increasingly friendly to the environment. Thus, the possibility of pure electric vehicles could become a sports car. We have developed hybrid Infiniti,” said Toshiyuki.

At the end of this year, Nissan plans to introduce the GT-R with 3.8-liter V6 engine capable of dual turbo-boosted engine power to 530 PS. However, observers predict that Nissan will face a problem due to increasingly stringent emissions regulations, especially for the European market.

Meanwhile, the producers have changed their concept of sports cars to meet emissions standards. Honda, for example, has made the CR-Z as a hybrid car. Porsche makes 911 Hybrid used for 24-hour endurance race. Audi prepares the e-Tron. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz introduces the SLS gulwing AMG E-CELL with electricity power.
